Selling on Vinted vs eBay - can't send recorded?

I have some high value items (£80) and I'm thinking of selling on Vinted, which I buy from a lot. But it looks like I can't customise the postage to send these higher cost things recorded delivery. I'm worried that a buyer could just say it hasn't turned up. Should I stick to eBay? Looking for some reports of experience selling on Vinted. Thank you!

They use couriers so everything is tracked, you can track it from as soon as you take it to the shop. You can modify the postage options, I tend to remove yodel and Evri and use UPS as I find them reliable however it depends on your drop off points.

Ah ok, so I'm best off being picky about the courier - that makes sense thank you. Are Evri unreliable?

I only use Evri and UPS on my Vinted account. I’ve never had an issue with Evri thankfully. I like how parcels are tracked as soon as they are taken by the courier shop. I much prefer Vinted to eBay.

You can turn off which couriers/postage methods you want to use. I actually really like Evri/Hermes so use them and UPS

I've had no problems with Evri or UPS both buying and selling from Vinted.

Thanks all, I'll go for it

I buy and sell a lot on Vinted. Sold and bought things (from well rated sellers) for £100+ Everything is tracked via the independent couriers so you can follow the journey.

Evri I had not had problems with until recently when several of my purchases went "missing". It took just over a week to get it sorted and they eventually did turn up. I've had the issue again yesterday actually where I get an email saying my package is ready to collect. Vinted tells me it's ready to collect. I go to collect and it's not there. Then if I log in to the Evri website and include my tracking number it says they were unable to deliver my package and they'll try again. This has happened about 5 times now. I've found delivery with Evri and InPost are taking much longer than they used to. A couple weeks now compared to 3-4 days a month or so ago. Perhaps it's just the holiday season.

I've had success with Yodel recently as they seem to be the fastest with items arriving within a week. Both as a sender and a buyer.

Might be worth turning off the Royal Mail option as that will probably be generic postage rather than tracked. The couriers are all tracked, I haven't had a problem with any so far!
