Sent wrong parcel to ebay buyer, any way to get it back?

Ok, so this is 100% my fault, I have ADHD and was very busy last week. Have just learnt when I sent 3 ebay parcels, all 3 went to the wrong person. One was worth about £15, the other two no more than £5. All for children about the same age.

I've tried messaging the buyers. The two in receipt of £5 parcels have responded so far, the other has not. I'm wondering if they don't, is there any way to get the parcel back, beyond asking for their honesty? The seller the £15 item was due to go to, wanted it for their child for Christmas so not happy right now. All I can do is refund if I can't get the item back for them.

You'll have to refund the ones who don't get the right item. There's no point trying to mess around and sort it out as even if you manage it the item will be so late getting to them they could open an "item not recieved" case. Best thing to do is refund and if you get the item back put it up for offers and let the buyer who wanted it know so they can offer and accept theirs.

Speak to the chat on ebay they are quite helpful.

Also the person who got the wrong item could still put in an item not recieved item as they haven't.

Did you get tracking?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but an item my Dh sold went to the wrong buyer despite the correct address being on there. The intended recipient (man) received a small size Zara dress instead. My DH just had to refund him and eBay has been unable to help retrieve the original item.

How did that happen?!

You ask them all to return to you as item not as described. Then offer to original buyers if they don't want to return , resell. If one doesn't respond its tough, you've lost that one. Most buyers are pretty good I've found, odd bad egg as in all of life.

I actually posted an item on (at the seller’s cost) to the correct buyer, and the seller got them to send me the correct item. I wouldn’t have had to do that but was happy to. This would have been about 15 years ago, I can see that it might be harder to do it these days with more rules.

It's weird because I could have sworn I put the correct labels on but clearly I didn't.

I sent by evri.

I asked all 3 to return to me. The one with the £15 parcel hasn't replied (yet). What I sent is a lovely item and would probably fit their child, based on the one they should have got.

I realise I may have to take the hit. But will try contacting ebay as well, first.

I did the same last week! I realised my error yesterday when one of the buyers contacted me, Like you, I used evri and was sure had placed the correct label on each parcel but couldn't have done! The buyers were happy to send to the correct recipient so I purchased 2 new labels, sent them to the recipients and they posted on the parcels to each other today. I was very lucky they were so understanding. They were £30 parcels each so was worrying I'd lose out.
