Does anyone know how to use iMovie or other video editing apps on iphone?

I have two video clips (taken with a tripod, so should be exactly the same position) and wanted to join the first bit of one with the second bit of the other, to make it look like it was done in one take, but I'm not quite sure how.

I have iMovie, which was free, and I know I can bring the clips in there and then join them together, but I think the clips have to be cropped first to exactly the right length and then it just sticks them together. But I was hoping I could bring both clips in to the editor and then try cutting them at slightly different positions to see which gave the most seamless edit - sliding them back and forth frame by frame and running it to see if it sounds/looks good until I get as good a transition as possible. Does anyone know how to do something like that? Are there other (preferably free) editors that might work better than iMovie?

I use InShot on my phone for that kind of thing. It's really easy to adjust the length of a clip and play around with it. Free app. iOS and Android.

For such tasks, I prefer using Wink on my mobile device. It's incredibly user-friendly and allows you to effortlessly modify clip lengths and experiment with your videos. The best part is, it's a free app available on both iOS and Android platforms.
