Vinted problem

Just started selling on vinted and sold two sports bras. Asked for £15, was offered £12 and accepted.

The buyer has messaged saying they're stained. I checked and they were fine. I don't want to ask for a photo as she could have spilled coffee or something on purpose. When did we get so cynical?

I've asked if she wants a refund. I think she's trying it on.

What would you do?

What did you say the condition was like initially? I'd be asking for a pic if you're sure they weren't stained before.

They were new as I advertised.

Do you have photos showing condition at time of listing? I would challenge and say she can have her money back once they’re returned to you in the same condition you sent them

She's now come back to say she'll keep the items and given positive feedback. Think I'll block her though, clearly trying it on.

I think she probably tried it on because you didn't use proper pictures in your advert, you used them from the website

I think that will be a good idea. In future, I’d add a couple of photos of the items themselves as well as from the website so there can’t be any shenanigans from buyers trying it on!!

Vinted sometimes take down the item if you use website pics. They want you to use the real item. It leaves you open to this type of behaviour. I've been there too! It's a learning curve.

If you're going to use website pics then best to use them last and to lead with your own pics. They still don't like it but less likely to get removed. I like a website pic so I can get a general idea of how it may fit, hang, shape, colour etc but won't buy if that's the only type of picture used.

She can still claim even if blocked. Did you take any real photos?

I did. However she's given positive feedback now and said she's happy to keep the items.
