When do you start watching Christmas films?

Usually not before December 1st. But have watched 2 in the last week and will watch another today!

I usually put the first one on in the background while I decorate the tree and that's either first or second weekend in December.

DH has just put Home Alone on and we watched Arthur Christmas a couple of weeks ago.

As soon as the Christmas movie channel restarts.

I cracked and watched one last night! It was beautifully cringy. Loved it.

I aim for December - then when it's gloomy and rainy I cave to cheer myself up. It usually always work. I'm easily pleased!

I have no kids and husband home tomorrow on my day off so I’m going to order myself a pizza and watch my first one tomorrow lunch time!

Christmas Eve!

I never understand watching them beforehand

I watch them any time of year. I watched one in that heatwave we had in the summer. Maybe I was hoping seeing snow on tv would somehow make me feel cooler. 😬

We used to put kids Christmassy ones on once they'd broken up from school, and for decorating the Christmas tree (which will be next Saturday) we usually listen to our old CD of Now That's What I Call Christmas.

Actually, come to think of it, I have to decorate a small tree by Wednesday. Better get thinking about that one, as it is a competition!

I've already watched a few - more the kind of random ones that pop up on the Christmas movie channel.

I save the main players for December and they have a kind of unofficial rating system in that certain ones are saved for the week of Christmas.

I'm generally already watching them though in between other things - but in December I'll be pretty much watching them every day. Reminds me of when I was a kid and when we'd go to my grandparents' house and spend the days leading up to Christmas Day watching Christmas movies and the old school Disney cartoons etc...

11yo always watches Polar Express in August!

We Dave Muppets for Christmas eve, other than that we watch whichever film as and when we want. Haven't watched any yet, perhaps next weekend.

Tree and decs will go up the weekend after, big holiday here (Spain), so plenty of time to decorate bit by bit.

Watching the channel 5 one now. And probably started as soon as they were on tv. There’s a lot to get through!
