Hosted a sleepover over for DS birthday last night. As you can imagine it was full on but the boys were all pretty good and did eventually go to sleep! I asked parents to pick up 10am this morning but there is one boy still here! Have called mum who was still asleep and completely forgotten. Still waiting for pick up. Not a massive deal but it drives me crazy. Just pick your child up on time and don’t take the piss. I have been a great host but want my house back to myself now!

Why is pick-up so early

Perhaps OP had somewhere to be by a certain time - maybe sports related or even a church service; they might even just want their house back to wind down, make sure kids homework is done, washing sorted and house tidy ready for Monday!!

10am isn’t early to me. The kids had been up since 6am. They have been here since yesterday afternoon. By mid morning they have had enough of each other. Some parents are just rude!

Hopefully they’ve picked their DC up now - and that’s one child who won’t be on the invite list next time you host a sleepover (if ever!)

Hopefully she just overslept. Probably unusual to not be woken by her kid and she thought she'd wake at the time they usually have her up.

Hopefully she was apologetic
