When Alexa goes BAD

Nice family evening in front of the TV, watching The Wheel and a football question comes up. It's multiple choice thing and we haven't heard of one of the answers, so DH shouts, "Alexa, what's a Golden Shirt?"

Cue Alexa start to explain what GOLDEN SHOWER is.

Thank goodness kids are teenagers, we were all laughing too hysterically to tell her to stop!!

No but my husbands Apple Watch frequently interrupts conversations and joins in.

My phone assistant sometimes randomly starts talking to me in Russian 😳 I disabled it, but it still does it.

I was trying to pair my iPhone with my new Alexa. Third one in the house and never been a problem before. I'd tried everything and in frustration said, 'Alexa, How do I pair with you?'

Alexa's reply. "Thank-you. That's very kind. I like you but can just stay friends!"

There was also the time in the middle of a zoom Pilates class when she decided to explain the concept of love. No idea what the instructor had said to prompt that!

Mine said 'I'd rather not answer that' - not sure how that would be too difficult to explain away?

I thought that Alexa's had been programmed not say adult content?

@Survey99 I really don't know when MN became so hostile. I was genuinely just sharing this to start a (hopefully) amusing thread. I know not to bother in future.

@YewandOak it's quite possible she misheard my DH with the background sound of the tv I suppose. It's not the first time he's asked her something and she's offered a completely random answer 🤷🏼‍♀️
