Do you tell people if you have Covid?

If you are still testing, and test positive, do you tell people you've been in contact with? specifically those who are CEV, or third trimester in pregnancy?

Or if you fall into those categories, would you want to be told? Or not?

I tested positive on Tue night so let the friends I was out with on the Sat know as well as a friend I saw Tues morning and the organiser of a baby class I went to on Mon. Seems like good manners if you know, really.

Tiani4 · 26/11/2022 19:02

Absolutely
I'd tell them even if I hadn't tested and was showing symptoms
I have to test for work as work with CEV clients and also am CEV

winterwear · 26/11/2022 19:06

Okay. Thank you.

I just wasn't sure about worrying people who might have had enough of doing that!

But I will. Was at a family gathering last night and my cousin is pregnant with just a few weeks to go with first baby, and I just know what a worrier she is. Feel terrible Sad

Yes I would tell people.

Yes I would want to know. It means I can keep a closer eye on myself and if I have symptoms I can't test. The antiviral treatment works best when taken as soon as known, before you become particularly poorly.

Yes absolutely without a doubt but I am also CEV.
