im bored so am planning to sue my hair tonight. I am very salt and pepper, and am currently feeling washed out.

not sure whether to go safe with a light brown or blonde, go pastel - I think that’s a bit “old lady blue rinse” I remember from years ago, or something super vibrant.

I’m in my 50s with short hair.

What colouring are you, natural hair colour before salt n pepper, eye colour, complexion?

Go red! I'm a similar age with short hair and I love my red. I use Olia 6.60 intense red and it lasts for ages.

Sorry for the late rely, I got distracted. I am really tempted with red but I have very fair skin thr flushes to red very easily - I suspect I couldn’t carry it off!

in the end I opted for a dark blonde, which has come up as a light brown on my hair. I’m pretty pleased with it, totally fine for a wee change.

Go with your skin tone and eye colour
if you are naturally warm toned with dark eyes, go for neutral or golden hair dye colours
if you skin is cool toned go for neutral, cool or ash shades
if you are salt n pepper your hair will come out the lightest shade on the box , so pick a shade darker
unless you want a lighter shade
you could go golden or ash brown, honey or ash blondes for example
unless you fancy red
