If you have anxiety/depression...

Did you get better?

I have had anxiety and depression most of my adult life - past 15 years. Meds, psychotherapy, yoga, done them all and currently still doing. But it's just managing the condition rather than getting better. I have become totally dependent on exercise and meds, that just about help me function.

Currently for example I am down with a cold and haven't been active for the past week, and instead of resting, I am having an anxiety attack!

I wonder if I will ever feel OK? Has anything helped you actually get better and put this behind you? Or is it just wrestling with this monster until I die?

Hi OP

So sorry to hear you have been struggling for a long time. I can't give you any advice as I'm suffering the same fate. But hope you find the help you need x

Yes I’ve mostly recovered.

Have you had any somatic based therapy - linking bodily feelings/sensations to trauma/grief?

Do you feel like you know what your anxiety is about?

Do you feel like you’ve learned how to grieve?
