Hi my two year year old daughter has a really bad cold it kept her up last night. She can’t breathe out of her nose and I think it’s frustrating her. Does anyone know ang food relief so she can have a good sleep tonight…: not the best sleeper anyway tbh

Not a dehumidifier!

An electric cold mist humidifier, plenty on Amazon!

Saline nasal drops and a snot sucker

Nancienoo · 26/11/2022 09:25

how do these snot suckers work? She doesn’t like my invading her personal space 🫤

With the Nose Frida type you use your own mouth suction, with a vacuum cleaner attachment one the vacuum does the work, and there are also battery operated aspirators. Just Google or look on Amazon.

Vicks vaporub in a bowl of hot water so the menthol is released in the room - put somewhere safe obviously where she can’t reach it and it isn’t precarious!

Vics also dotted under her nose.

You can get olbas oil for children too.

Prop her up so she isn't flat whilst sleeping so gravity can do its thing. Put some books or nappy packet underneath the head end of her mattress.

A humidifier works well or just a cup of water in the room near a radiator if they are on.

Calpol/Vicks did a plug in when Dd was younger which helped.
