Nervous about using Vinted!

Any Vinted experts out there?

Just uploaded the app and added two items. One of them though, I got a message, see below, saying they'd brought the item, but then when I click on the link it gives me a message saying not to leave Vinted, then appears to take me back to a Vinted page, then asks for my debit card details which I feel uncomfortable adding. What's going on! Is this normal?

Thank you xx

@GnarlyOldGoatDude that's very useful to know, thank you. I have a lot of Boden clothes I want to sell. Don't even know how popular Boden is anymore. I bought these a very long time ago but hardly wore them.

Worth a try- although on the whole, I think things sell for less on Vinted than elsewhere. You are getting a huge audience though.

also- there are specific Boden FB selling groups, might be worth a look?

Don’t worry about using Vinted it’s a great way to sell things quick it’s very rare you get scam messages like that

I’ve just sold my first few things through Vinted, absolutely loved it so far. So easy to use, my items all sold within hours of me posting them up.

I sell loads on Vinted. Discovered it during lockdown.

I love it. There is a forum on there where we all support each other so you can ask questions.

There is the odd dodgy person but don't let that put you off.

I invested in a printer and send via Evri. This has saved me a fortune because Royal Mail always ended up being more than I had charged. It also means the buyer pays for their postage up front too. No hassle for the seller.

I'm going to sound incredibly thick here but if you're on the app how can a scam like that come up? As in, how does the scammer insert that message in? Sad
