Does anyone have a kids size IKEA Poang or similar

I was wondering if an average size adult can actually fit on them? I could do with a small chair in the children's room because I have bad circulation and get pins and needles sat reading to them on the floor. They have Kura bunk beds so I can't sit on the bed. Doesn't need to be big enough to be comfortable, just to get me off the floor. I'd get a full Poang but their room is very small so I need something compact. Have also thought about a bean bag but they are more expensive.

The one we had was only suitable until 6 or 7. Seriously tiny.

No chance, they're tiny. Does it need a back? Homesense sell footpuffs that make decent stools

Nope they are tiny!

I can sit in ours. I’ll fit. I look like I’m in a noddy car but it’s not uncomfortable.(I’m 5’8 in case that matters)

Just flip one of their Kura beds so it's low level (they can take a year each on the low one then swap) and sit on the end of that.

APurpleSquirrel · 25/11/2022 22:53

Yeah, unless you're incredibly petite and slim a child's poang is too small for an adult. It would end up wedged on your bum!
What about a stool? The Mammut ones are fine for adults to sit on & very cheap!

ChandlersDad · 25/11/2022 22:55

I could when I was a size 8. It stops being comfy around a size 12.

wedonttalkaboutyouno · 25/11/2022 22:55

I fit in my DC’s! It comes with me when I stand up, but I easily wiggle out of it. I’m 5’3” and a size 12/14 if that helps!

TwinklingStarlight · 25/11/2022 23:07

Would a cube bed or similar fit? Something like this . They are quite light so easy to hoik around. Or maybe a storage footstool you could keep toys/bedding in, or buy a bean bag cover and fill with soft toys/cushions/blankets if you have a load sitting around.

MustDust · 25/11/2022 23:09

If you don't need one with a back, can job get the empty beanbags that you can fill with cuddly toys/spare bedding?

We have just one as a bunk bed, so one child is on the floor, not as much head height as a normal bunk bed so I can't sit on the bottom....I have thought about getting another though as we will be dividing a room for them at some point. That could be an option if I can fit two in the current room.

Oh yes I think a foot stool is a good idea. Then I can keep the library books in that are always on the floor where I want to put a chair. One of those ottoman cube things. I can only find them overpriced or in hideous crushed velvet. I'll keep my eye out for one.

This is ideal, but unfortunately we don't have a local IKEA and I can't see any second hand ones for sale. If anyone knows of any imitations, please let me know!
