Recommendations for moisturising body wash that's actually moisturising

Just that really

I suffer with dry skin and psoriasis on my arms and normally shower just pits bits and feet with unscented soap, but I really miss a good scrub down.

Are there any bodywashes out there that actually moisturise?

Would you consider a shower oil? I'm using one by Bioderma and it's great for my perimenopausal dry skin.

Shower oil? 😲

I've been out of the bodywash game for so long I didn't even know that was a thing? What's that like? Does it foam?

It's an oil that you rub in with your hands then rinse off. It's gorgeous and silky. This is the one I bought and love it.

😂 I was going to say shower oil too, it’s fab!

Elieza · 25/11/2022 21:12

Oooh that looks nice.

what kind of price are we talking, and is it in Asda Tesco sainsburys type shops?

33goingon64 · 25/11/2022 21:13

Aveeno extra moisturising something or other shower gel. Only thing I can use or I get dry patches.

MelchiorsMistress · 25/11/2022 21:23

Nivea do a nice shower oil for £3/4 that you could probably get in a big Tesco or Asda.

This is my favourite shower oil. Luxury.

Haven't tried any others, mind.

Rather than looking at moisturising bodywash, you need a product without SLS which is drying.

If you look at pharmacy type brands eg E45, Aveeno or organic brands they usually fit the bill.

Or just use soap. It's way better.

Aveeno Dermexa Is very good

AMELIORATE Nourishing Body Wash.

Sanex shower oil is amazing and not greasy - just feels like a normal shower gel. The L'Occitane is nicer if you want to treat yourself though.

Ooh thanks everyone 😊 oops looks like I have some shopping to do 😂

Apologies for butting in OP, but those of you using shower oils, do you use them everywhere? Can you clean pits and bits with them and things like your deodorant still work properly afterwards? I have visions of greasy armpits afterwards, but realise that is probably wrong.

SisterGeorgeMichael · 26/11/2022 07:44

What about the bottom of the shower?

OrangeBlossom28 · 26/11/2022 09:31

Yes I use the shower oil for all over once I've got myself wet. It's easier to turn the shower off to apply the oil with your hands. When you rinse with water afterwards it emulsifies and rinses clean off. No residue in the shower tray either.

WeAreTheHeroes · 26/11/2022 11:36

Good to know. Am adding L'Occitane almond shower oil to my Christmas list...
