Recruiter gone quiet

Recruiter sent my CV to a company on Tuesday, she was really positive on the phone and said she was confident they would want to interview me. She said she expected to get feedback that day. I haven’t heard anything. Do I assume it’s a no? Would you chase?

Remember that recruiters are the salespeople in the middle, so she will have wanted to fire you up with enthusiasm etc.
Expecting feedback on the same day that a CV is submitted is, in my view, VERY optimistic.
I would drop the recruiter a brief e-mail asking if there has been any feedback yet. Good luck!

Could be a no, could be a delay of some kind. Chase to keep yourself in mind for other vacancies at least. I don't think chasing will do any good if they've already put you forward - if they think they can sell you (especially if they don't have many promising candidates), they won't forget about you. If they can easily fill this vacancy, they're not going to be motivated to fill it with you specifically.

Definitely chase. What is there to lose!

Recruiter got back to me to say there has been no feedback yet. Don’t think that’s a good sign - is it?
