I have been friends with someone at work for a while. When it's just us we get on really well. I'm female he's male if it makes a difference.
Ive started to work different shifts and with a few new people. I've noticed my friend has been acting differently towards me when we are around others. They won't talk to me much and don't give me eye contact when I talk to them in front of others. They won't laugh at my jokes and basically I feel invisible.
When it's back to just us two it's a whole different story. They will ask me if I'm ok, act like they care and we have good conversations.
It's almost like they are embarrassed to be seen as my friend. It makes me feel rubbish .
Should I ask them what's going on?
