Does anyone on here analyse dreams?

I keep having a recurring dream and it's happening at least twice a week

I've always had one about flying very close to
The ground under bridges & stuff

But this one involves using public toilets, they're either dirty, or people can see in, or there's no toilet roll. Last nites one I was just getting poo everywhere, under the stall and people could see it

🤷🏼‍♀️

Dr Dreams here.

Your subconscious is telling you that you need to stop buying that cheap stuff and start buying puppies on a roll.

The nerve endings in your bum hole will transmit positivity to your brain which will release feel good endorphins and your poo poo nightmares will cease.

I don't believe dreams are predictive but are your subconscious telling you something you need to address = pooping = fear of making a fool of yourself in public for some reason?

I can't work this one out though.

I went to bed this afternoon as I was feeling cold and tired and had a very odd dream. I dreamed that Kate Middleton came to my door and asked to go to the loo, and my friend went out of the house and was chatting to neighbours across the road that Kate was in the loo. Kate took ages upstairs, and so I was a bit suspicious. When she came down, she asked if I knew of a local hotel she could stay in, so I said I'd find out and come out to the car to tell her. Then I realised that she was an impostor, and she went out to her minder's car and I checked my jewellery box and she had raided it.

I went out to the car and dragged her by the hair, pulled out her extensions and punched her in the face.

Analyse that!

Both DS2(15) and his GF dreamed of him dying from hypothermia. Either the same night or a night apart. He was slightly perturbed!

This is a very common dream and is simply a manifestation of anxiety. If you can pinpoint what is worrying you and take steps to address it, the dream will stop happening.

I get this type of dream all the time, not finding a clean loo, making a mess, getting poo everywhere 😂. apparently it’s just a sign of general anxiety. About anything at all . I was told by a dream analyser friend (it’s her job!) that when we are small and learning to use the loo on our own etc there’s lots of anxiety about it, wiping your bum, someone seeing you, pooing your pants at school accidentally etc. So as an adult it stays in your subconscious as a ‘sign’ or symbol of anxiety. Don’t worry about it. Just try to work out what’s making you anxious in your waking life. You won’t poo the bed 😘

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 27/11/2022 00:24

I get this a lot OP, it's anxiety.

I have loos with no cubicle walls or doors / with half doors / doors with massive gaps around / fully lockable and private cubicle with no loo. Maze like rooms off rooms with loos in, think I've found somewhere private and realise there's another door and loads of people come in. It's really unpleasant. With added worry of being vaguely aware of being asleep and worrying I might be dreaming of loos because I need a wee and if I do find one I'll wet the bed!!! Never happened, but part of the whole worry theme I think.

Byelaws · 27/11/2022 00:27

It’s about vulnerability and fear of public humiliation. You are worried people will know your secrets.

It’s also about stuff you feel you can’t control (bodily functions) and are therefore not able to find a way of dealing with your fear.

Thank you for all of this, interesting

I'm teaching for the first time this week so maybe that's it as I'm really nervous about it

But I've had this for months

Good luck! I'm a lecturer and still get anxious occasionally after nearly 20 years. I don't understand my Kate Middleton dream though!

Some great answers from posters.

You might enjoy a book called 'The Top 100 Dreams' by Ian Wallace - the toilet dream is included, and many others which you'll probably recognise.

TheFormidableMrsC · 27/11/2022 18:08

I have toilet dreams too, either they're filthy and flooded or so high you have to touch them to climb on them or the door won't lock or no doors. It is anxiety I think. It's bloody horrible.

NightOwlNotEarlyBird · 27/11/2022 18:48

I didn't realise toilet dreams were so common and glad to know what it means (never bothered to look it up). Although worryingly I've been having these dreams for years... Also walking barefoot in said filthy toilets!
