Smart tags for a wallet

My H is constantly losing his wallet so I thought I'd get him one of those smart trackers. All the thin ones for a wallet seem to be non rechargeable though. I don't want to get him something that just has to be replaced when it suns out of power.

Are there at thing tracker tags out there that are rechargeable? I kind of thought with wireless charging it might be possible!

The battery on AirTags can easily be replaced and they last for ages. Could always put a reminder on his phone to replace every year or so

I pop them in my cases when I travel and can track them to the aircraft and then down the carousel. When not travelling they live in my handbag, car keys and DH's wallet.

They are usually around £29 each, but sometimes pop up on a warehouse deal for £25. Other than that CEX have them used at about £22.

So you find the air tags fit in a man's Wallet ok? I thought they looked chunky but if that will work I'll just do that 👍

You can actually buy wallets with air tag pockets now. There are a few on Amazon.

Eufy are to bring a wallet card sized one that works with Find My iPhone, exactly like an AirTag.

Tile have a card shaped one too but works via its own app

Does anyone have any recommendations for an android phone? My ADHD DD is always losing her wallet and I'd like to buy her some kind of tag for it.

It was the tile I was looking at that was wallet card shaped. But once the battery goes you just have to buy another. I thought that was really wasteful so want something that is rechargeable. Most of the other thin ones are the same.

I get a charging port has to be quite wide. I just thought with wireless charging there might have been something. Those Wallets look good though!

I've got the tile one, lasts for 3 years according to the description but I get what you mean. If anyone has a non apple alternative I'm all ears!

@Gingerkittykat tiles work with android. I also have a Garmin activity watch that I can use to ping my phone via Bluetooth if it's in range.

@Gingerkittykat Ive got the Chipolo for Android. I think it's ok, although not rechargeable either. On my phone it sometimes loses connectivity until I reboot, and that seems to be a known issue.

There are YouTube videos on how to open them and replace, but it’s only if you’re into that sort of thing
