Stuck on what to do for DS upcoming birthday party.

Some of the suggestions his made are already booked out.

Theme park (the parents of his friends are not going to come).
Bowling- but says it's boring.
Invite a couple of friends to an inflatable pool session and cinema/eat afterwards...

But don't have any other suggestions. Anyone?

Gaming party at the house?- companies can come and set this up if you wanted to spend the money/ pizza etc.

stuckonu · 24/11/2022 12:30

His into gaming but don't really want to have friends over as we are renovating

I did a gaming van party for Ds’s 11th! Up to 10 kids, company does everything. Hired a village hall circa cost of £35 and got Dominoes delivered. Was the easiest birthday party!

DS and his friends are into a certain sport so we have hired a local court and they are going to play for a couple of hours
They Will then be dropped at MacD in the nearest town and collected an hour later

Melonymelony · 24/11/2022 12:51

Go karting?

stuckonu · 24/11/2022 12:59

We've done paint balling and go karting.

Not quite gaming- we took ours to a virtual reality session in London- they loved it! And a cool meal afterwards.

What virtual reality session? What's the name?

Does an inflatable pool session sound ok?

How about an escape room?

My 13 year old would hate it but they are all different

stuckonu · 24/11/2022 13:24

Escape room sounds good but I want something a bit active as these boys are quite hyper.

Have you got a ninja warrior course or similar nearby or laser quest? Indoor snowboarding?

emmathedilemma · 24/11/2022 13:27

mountain bike lesson
dry slope / indoor skiing
ninja warrior indoor assault course thing
It's hard to suggest things without knowing what you have locally!

Swampthing55 · 24/11/2022 13:29

Depends where you live I am going to swingers this week for a party and an escape room next week axe throwing on Friday not that I'm 13 can't ge choose himself that way it's sure to be a success

stuckonu · 24/11/2022 13:33

Oh sorry! I live in London. I should be spoilt for choice but I'm not. Sigh

13 is a tricky age because they are the size of adults but still many activities want an adult to accompany which is so uncool.
I they all skateboard? Is there a good indoor park near you?

Spy missions was fun at that age and they went in by themselves while I just drove the car and paid. Then followed up with Chinese buffet where they could all eat loads (as 13 year olds are won't to do!).

Or a parkour experience?

It depends on your DC of course but swimming parties were generally for younger DC rather than teens.

AtLeastThreeDrinks · 24/11/2022 13:44

Tubing? There's an outdoor ski place in Essex you can do that at, great fun for teens.
