Ticketmaster resale tickets have you ever purchased?

Well just that really. I purchased 2 tickets on ticketmaster resale yesterday for an event taking place in just under 2 weeks time but am yet to receive my tickets. I'm now feeling quite anxious. I have the order confirmation email which says tickets will be emailed so I am constantly checking my emails. If you have used tm resale how long did it take to receive your etickets?

I bought a ticket for MCR in January 2020. Tickets were expensive and sold out really quickly so I only bought one and planned on going alone.

Covid delayed it and by May 2022 when it took place, I had torn ligaments in my knee and couldn't walk properly. I was nervous about going alone as it was a standing ticket.

My amazing best friend bought herself a resale ticket about 2 weeks before so she could accompany me.

We were a bit anxious but it all worked fine.

@EarlofShrewsbury thanks for your reply.did she receive her ticket straight away or did she wait a few days? I know ticketmaster have to cancel the original barcoded eticket and issue new purchaser a new one with new name and barcode but I thought would be more instant to be honest as everything is done by computer these days. its showing nothing in my upcoming events on my tm app. mine are concert tickets too. I'm just a worrier!

Ticketmaster generally are quite slow at sorting out the tickets anyway, resale
or not. I’d wait until a few days before.

I resold tickets for a show that had been postponed several times due to COVID. I had never received the original tickets by post as they were being sent nearer the time. The tickets re-sold, ticketmaster then told me they had posted me the tickets in error and gave me the purchasers address to send them to. I still hadn't received them days before the event. I think I ended up going on their live chat and they reprinted the tickets and sent them to the purchaser. Live chat is if the event is in 7 days or less.

AngelaChasesBestLife · 24/11/2022 20:06

I had to do this last year and I don't think the tickets were available until the day of the event!

FFSLTB · 24/11/2022 20:09

I've never received etivkets straightaway on TM. Bought Coldplay tickets in October 2021 for concert in August 2022 and was only able to access/print off tickets about a week before event its only been a day. If I'd not heard a week before event, then get in touch

70billionthnamechange · 24/11/2022 20:55

Have not bought but have sold and all went through in about 2 days

Oldraver · 24/11/2022 21:26

I bought some tickets from Viagogo back in April. I didnt realise they were a resale place..

Event was for last Friday and I didnt get the email saying Ticketmaster would be releasing the tickets until Wednesday Shock
I was a tad worried to say the least

Nightimeer · 05/03/2023 15:32

@theblackradiator

did everything work out okay. I’m waiting for tickets after I bought some re-sale tickets via Ticketmaster but the event is a week away and I’m panicking

theblackradiator · 06/03/2023 11:11

@Nightimeer yes everything went fine my tickets were available just a few days before the concert. everything should be fine for you too .I was also worried too but I'd be happy to purchase resale tickets again.

Nightimeer · 06/03/2023 16:41

@theblackradiator thank you so much for replying. I’m a bit of a panicker and it is impossible to get hold of anyone at Ticketmaster. How did you end up receiving your tickets

anniegun · 06/03/2023 16:48

We purchased 4 resale tickets . Tickemaster then cancelled 3 of them as they "had not received them from the vendor" but charged us for the 4th as they supplied that one and they had a no-refund policy . They refused to back down on the one ticket despite our reasoning that a single ticket was no use for a family of 4. I would never use them again

theblackradiator · 06/03/2023 16:59

@Nightimeer they were just on my upcoming events as usual on the app. Ticketmaster didn't email me to say they were added to my app I just had to keep checking . when is your event you have booked for? how far off is it? as you may have to wait a while if its a long way off.

Nightimeer · 06/03/2023 17:07

@anniegun oh no, that’s awful. I’m worried in case I make arrangements like transport etc and then the tickets don’t arrive.

@theblackradiator the event is in 6 days, I’ll keep checking the app and hopefully they will appear

ISpyCobraKai · 06/03/2023 17:09

I have several times and never had a problem.
Sometimes they do arrive v close to the event though.

Nightimeer · 06/03/2023 17:12

Thanks @ISpyCobraKai did they just appear in your Ticketmaster app. It would be nice if they could just let me know that’s what happens but I feel like I’m in limbo

My experience too. I found it was much safer than using Viagogo.

theblackradiator · 06/03/2023 18:14

@Nightimeer log in and check on the website version aswell as the app. looks like they've updated the app and the app no longer shows past events you've attended but the Web version does my tickets are still there on past events so yes just received them as normal just a few days before.I remember really stressing too but all worked out fine.

Never, ever use Viagogo.
I did once, years ago and all went well but it's just a massive rip off, and that's if you don't get scammed.
Twickets is a brilliant resale site.

Nightimeer · 07/03/2023 07:01

I’m panicking now. It’s 5 days and I’ve not received any thing. I’ve emailed and her an automatic response with a ticket number. I’m really hoping I hear today. I feel like I can’t make plans for the day until I have the tickets. i keep checking the website incase they just appear in the events

Nightimeer · 07/03/2023 20:00

Just an update in case anyone looks back through this thread, I’ve received my tickets in the app, 5 days before event. I’m so relieved and would definetely buy this way again

theblackradiator · 07/03/2023 23:17

@Nightimeer great news you can relax now and look forward to your event. have a nice time.
