Something is biting me in the night...

And I dont know what it is.

I'm thinking bedbugs but I haven't seen a single one. I brought spray and power today and sprayed the hell out of where I sleep but nothing crawled out.

Out of 5 of us I'm the only one getting bit. Its insanely itchy and is leaving scars everywhere.

How can I find out what is causing it?

Could it be scabies?

Are the bites in a line? Could be fleas - we don't have pets but they came in when we had mice.

Only some people react to the bites so it isn't unusual to have one person scratching.

Roll back the edging of the mattress and look for small brownish spots. Also, you can put the legs of the bed in a homemade bug trap if you want. But the mattress test will probably tell you.

Where are the bites? Ankles generally fleas, torso generally bedbugs.

Look for the bedbugs and their traces. I was once convinced we had bedbugs and a pest control person said to me that each bedbug doesn't actually bite very often, so if you're getting lots of bites and it's bedbugs you will be able to see traces easily. If you've looked under the mattress, in the bed frame etc. and found nothing, it's unlikely to be them.
