daughter currently applying and trying to manage expectations regards actually getting a place

I have no idea...but I'm thinking she might be in a good position applying now, whilst academic year is well under way??

I think it would depend on what sector? L3 child care - probably very easy. L3 computer software, probably harder.

It’s competitive. There aren’t enough apprenticeships for the people that want them.

Make sure her application/CV is tailored for the role. There should be support for her from school/college/ careers.

Your local careers service will support her. If she registers with them then child benefit can be paid for an interim period.

They can also refer her to organisations for support with eg work experience.

She’s done very well getting an interview! Good luck x
