Spotify podcasts - explicit content

We have a family plan with Spotify and have filtered the explicit content for our young teens. I’ve discovered this filter doesn’t apply to podcasts as my DC was searching for stories to listen to in bed and it brought up a load of porn. I can’t see any way to block or even hide this type of inappropriate content…any ideas before I just close the account in frustration?

Wow, that's bizarre and unfortunate. I've never seen anything pornographic pop up on Spotify and I don't have an explicit content filter on.

What keywords did your DC search?

A couple of searches on ‘Bedtime stories’ and ‘stories to listen to in bed’. It brought up an anime image of someone called ‘Jin’ - very explicit episode titles I had no idea could be accessed on this type of account. Can’t block or filter. No idea why it’s not got an explicit tag!?!

Crikey, I’ve had podcasts on everyday for several years now and not come across any porn.

Several other similar podcasts too but they were more obviously ‘adult’ than that one. Am I missing a filter somewhere?!

Yes same here. I think it was ‘stories to listen to in bed’ that’s done it as I’ve just searched on my account and found the same

Actually ‘bedtime stories’ is the name of one that came up. Definitely not age appropriate and not listed as adult as some of the others are which at least gives a bit of a warning!
