Amazon fire - do I need the kids version

Please can someone explain this simply to me as I can't quite work it out? Is the Amazon fire kids version just the same as the Amazon fire regular version but it has a kid friendly case and has the Amazon kids subscription on it?? So could I just buy a normal Amazon fire tablet and then separately buy a kids case and subscribe to Amazon kids?? Or am I missing something else here?

Yes it’s the same just with a kids subscription (mine would never use this as the apps were to babyish) and a case. Everything else is the same but you do get a 2 year warranty and only a 1 year with the normal one.

You are right. I have a kids profile on my normal kindle fire (you swipe at top then can change between profiles) so all that is needed is an amazon kids subscription and you can use it on any of the kindles. My kids both had a kids fire tablets before their ipads and it was the exact same as mine, bar the case, so I could use either of theirs by swiping onto my profile and they could use mine.

Hope I'm making sense.

Same tablet, the case is great. Amazon kids is good for little ones, not so much for older kids. The 2 year guarantee is brilliant though. Kids break things and Amazon will replace as many times as necessary over those 2 years.
