Best budget meals

Trying to save money on our food shop this week, what are your best budget meals that you go to? Thanks

These are mine but I'm aware that this might have changed given col crisis and avian flu driving up egg prices.

Jacket potatoes (do a whole batch and freeze them and then defrost an microwave to save fuel costs)
Eggs on toast
Soup and a part baked baguette
Omelette and chips
Pasta and sauce.

I think a tasty lentil and bean stew would be the cheapest most filing-and I love lentils -but don't have a recipe.

Chop an onion, fry in the oil from a tin of tuna in sunflower oil. Add the tuna and a tin of tomato soup. Serve on brown rice. Very cheap if you buy own brand.
