What do you do when your teenagers have a friend over to game?

Hide in your bedroom? Do something quietly in the corner of the living room? Carry on cleaning/baking/ tidying around them?

Mine isn't really open plan but it's not very private either. DS prefers going round to friends with bigger flats!

We have the console! His friend doesn't have one yet.

Don’t have any kids, but my husband and I have more or less completely stopped having anyone round for this reason. It’s one thing for us to each do our own thing at opposite ends of the room, but it’s weird and uncomfortable when someone else is there as well. Unforeseen side effect of open-plan.
