Curler for straight hair

I have curly hair so I'm clueless but Dd has poker straight long hair. She's tried the tiktok trends, rollers, curling tongs and straighteners but nothing holds the curl in her hair. Does anyone have any advice / recommendations? She's 12.

Straighteners for me but I give them 2 'turns' per slice of hair, it's the only way curls/waves stay in for me. It took a lot of practice but I've perfected it now and do it most days

Have you tried the ghd curling wand? It’s really good - also lots of hairspray!!

Similar to a lot of the automatic curlers you see on social medial (which do work brilliantly) but it's corded so the battery doesn't die on you when you are a third of a way round your head.
