Do any of you use nail wrap stickers?

Like in the picture.

I'd like festive nails & have bought some stick on ones but wondered about trying these stickers maybe?

I cba to paint them & wait for them to dry - there are too many other things I could be doing impatient, I know 🤷‍♀️

You have to be patient when putting them on otherwise they won’t stick properly

recommend lightly buffering your nails first 😄

lucysmam · 22/11/2022 22:37

Thanks @Danikm151 how long do they take to stick? Maybe I'm getting my hopes up & they're going to take just as long as painting my own would?

Following with interest and hoping for recommendations! I keep looking at these

I was looking at those. Don't you have to put a top coat on after the sticker bit?

Between nail wraps and sistico (has anyone used that?) my FB feed is full of nail spam.

QueueEtwo · 22/11/2022 22:45

I've used the Holy Grail ones, nice quality, easy to put on, you need sharp scissors. They lasted about 10 days to 2 weeks!

lucysmam · 22/11/2022 22:52

@Mumdiva99 I think the instructions I read did say to top coat once the sticker was applied. That's still, hopefully, faster than base, polish & top coats though...I think

I use ones from Lily and Fox. They last a couple of weeks usually.

Make sure your nails are totally clean before you start.

MyAutocorrectWishesMeDeaj · 22/11/2022 22:58

I would say distinctly average. Took me WAY longer than normal polish because you have to file down excess on ends and it's v fiddly. I would say not worth faff, BUT they do offer quick nail art. I tried about half a dozen times and got bored. Peeled off quickly too and I bought a decent brand.

lucysmam · 23/11/2022 07:01

Thank you all; I think I'm going to try some cheapish ones & see how I get on with them. If they're fiddly I'll just wait for the Christmas hols & use the stick on ones for as long as I get out of them.

Like 5-10 seconds a finger but need to concentrate to get them straight. Rather than using scissors fold over then file carefully 😁

Nutrigrainygoodness · 23/11/2022 21:01

I got some from oh my gosh nails.
You did need to cure them under a uv lamp after you've put them on (not sure if they are all the same) £7.99 and they lasted 10 days. Dws are still on 3 weeks later-clearly I do more than her 😂

CinderellaFant · 23/11/2022 21:04

Yes I love them! Super easy and quick to do and last a lot longer than regular polish. I just put a clear top coat of polish over them and they last about 2 weeks

lucysmam · 24/11/2022 07:42

Any other top tips apart from super clean nails, and to file rather than cut them? I'll watch a few youtube videos tonight

I've just stuck these, slightly mis-matched on the other hand because I stuck the wrong size to one nail. They were surprisingly quick, and easy! Now lets see how long they last...

Very festive!

Mumdiva99 · 04/12/2022 14:55

They look lovely.

poppym12 · 05/12/2022 10:46

Do you think that something like this would protect a split nail? I've damaged my index finger nail, it's split too far down to trim so I need to keep it stuck together until it grows out.

Thistlelass · 05/12/2022 10:53

How good a self manicure do you need to give yourself before using these? I am not used to doing this myself. Also, may be a stupid question but can you get them for toes? I am currently paying out £80 per month for fortnightly care and the 'nails' are just dropping off after about a week!

lucysmam · 07/12/2022 17:04

@poppym12 I think they might - I managed to split a nail somehow today while changing our littlest dc at work, for their Nativity. The sticker's still intact on top of the nail & the nail hasn't split any further underneath it.

@Thistlelass I filed my nails, pushed back my cuticles & buffed a little to remove the shine, then gave mine a swipe with nail polish remover. They've lasted, with no lifting, so far. The tips of my nails are starting to wear away now but they were really easy & I'm pleased enough with them.

Thank you @lucysmam. I found some in Claire's yesterday so I'll have a go at applying them.

justanotherlaura · 08/12/2022 11:40

I wear ones from www.ohmygoshnails.com all the time although not in the last 6 weeks as I've not got the time with a newborn!

I've got it down to about 15 minutes to remove one set and put on another and tend to change them every 2 weeks. I do out a coat of clear varnish over the top but it dries really quickly as it's just one layer

WeDontNeedToTalkAboutJamie · 08/12/2022 12:06

@Thistlelass Lily and Fox do toe nail ones. I've not tried them yet though.

Luckyclover82 · 22/01/2023 12:59

I use them ☝️. Have had amazing results with stickers from holygrailnail. Last about 10 days with a top coat and seem good quality. Have also tried the ones that you can cure with a UV lamp which are good too and look like the gels I used to pay £35 for! I put on one of their pedicure sets for a holiday in October and I still have 9/10 on - admittedly they are all grown out and look a bit odd but given they have been on for 3 months I’m now bizarrely fascinated to see how much longer they cling on for!
