Wasp on stairs window

There’s a wasp right at the top of the window on my stairs which goes up to the ceiling (ie its high up). The window is non opening so I can’t see how it will get out. Seems pretty content to sit there but I’m not enjoying going passed it. Do I just wait for it to die? Any suggestions?

Get a cup and a peice of cardboard - trap it and Chuck it out the door.

Vacuum it up with the long wand?
A bit cruel but it's probably going to die soon anyway, at this time of year.

Queen wasps often come inside looking for somewhere to hibernate. Ideally they want somewhere cool though, like an unheated shed/garage.

Just pop it in a cup with card over the top and chuck him out. No need for a savage execution or any drama.

I think I’ll have to try with the hoover. I don’t have a ladder that can get my high up enough and would be tricky on the stairs

Just leave him be then.
