Interview tomorrow and woefully unprepared

I'm gutted. Was offered an interview on Friday for tomorrow, only applied on the Wednesday last week.
It's a real promotion for me and planned to spend the weekend prepping but ended up with DS being full on and a little unwell and DH unwell too so now I'm woefully unprepared and the worse thing is I know the interviewer which I find makes it awkward.

I've done a little bit around work today but I'm so disappointed in myself but utterly exhausted and just want to go to bed.

Just having a little rant here!

If you can spend even just 10-15 minutes having a think about your work and examples of things you have done that have gone well (and why) and things that haven't gone so well and what you've learned from them, that'll help.
Have a quick read through your cv, think what you will answer if they ask why you want the job.
some preparation is better than no preparation!

You really have ni need to.br disappointed in your self as the circumstances restricted what you were able to do at the weekend. Hope it goes ok.
Try to get a decent sleep. Tomorrow, dress in something that is comfortable and makes you feel.good. Give yourself chance to think through your answers. Try to match what they are liking for with your existing skills or achievements. Good luck

I've spent some time this evening writing out bullet points and cross referencing my CV so have some points to build upon. My interview isn't until mid afternoon. So may get up early tomorrow before DS wakes up to flesh everything out more

That sounds good! I've done a bit of interviewing and in my experience, more people are hopelessly unprepared than not. It makes the people who put some effort in look amazing!

Good luck for your interview today @elephantmarchingin

Good luck @elephantmarchingin - just try to stay calm and confident and don't apologise for yourself in the interview.

Let us know how you get on! Fingers crossed

Thank you all. I don't think it went very well to be honest but we shall see!
