What sort of job?

mindutopia · 21/11/2022 13:57

I'd look on Indeed. But it depends what sort of job you're after. My industry has a specific job search site that wouldn't be used by anyone outside of it and you'd almost never find jobs posted elsewhere.

Local, non-skilled jobs, things like Facebook/local newsletters/etc. are often good as is word of mouth.

Totally depends what you are looking for. I used indeed for my recent job searches, set key words and get daily alerts.
I also used WM jobs which is a local list of all public sector jobs in the area.

i didn’t enjoy the whole Indeed process, it’s very anonymous and I don’t think I’ll even get responses from my applications which is very annoying when they take so long. They must get hundreds of applications for every post.

I'm looking for an entry-level job.

For entry level I'd go for Indeed.

Or if you're after retail or hospitality, good old door-to-door is a good idea. Most places won't take CVs, but they'll point you in the direction of how to apply.

Also, local Facebook groups are good if you're looking for cleaning or carering.

CV Library.

Yoyooo · 21/11/2022 18:33

I hate getting indeed CVs when I am recruiting. There are all so similar and it's as if no thought has been put into most of them. Some are just so basic also.

osie · 21/11/2022 18:36

I don't like indeed because I feel like it's quantity over quality

HappyHamsters · 21/11/2022 18:37

What sort of job would you like, what are your interests and strengths, what is your degree in. Do you have any special hours, location, career opportunities or industry needs.
