Poorly 2yo at home all day - help!

Help! My 2.5 year old has been ill with temperature, fever, sickness etc since a Friday. His temperatures now normal and he's in a bit better spirits but still not normal and he has a bad cough. He only wants to watch cartoons (which I've let him as he was really floppy and ill over the weekend) and I've brought out the Amazon fire which we bought to support a long-haul flight and have never let him use otherwise. He's a bit more animated today but was ready for his nap really early and seems really tired bless him.

I was going to try and pop him in the buggy and go out later to let him get some fresh air but its raining here and he's not better.

2 questions -

  • what would you do all afternoon after he wakes up? Is it bad to keep watching movies and cartoons? We watched all of Mary poppins yesterday.
  • would you attempt nursery tomorrow? He's due to be in for a full day and I have a meeting but I don't know...

If he wants to flop in front of the telly just let him. I'd give nursery a go tomorrow yes.

I would do a bit of tv, a bit of cuddles and reading and not much else. It's awful when they are so small and ill. Probably would keep them off tomorrow too.

If he isn’t right today and is too unwell to even play then I wouldn’t be sending him to nursery tomorrow.

I would try to see how he is with playing this afternoon.
