Vinted - listing item as heavy

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to list an item as heavy: I get small, medium and large and none of these is any good as the total weight of my item is over 5kg. I've even messaged Vinted support, but what they suggest just isn't there as an option for me, i.e. heavy. What do I do? I'm seriously thinking of listing on eBay instead, but think I'm more likely to sell on Vinted. Argh!

Can you put "heavy"
In the description? So "heavy wardrobe" or whatever.

It doesn't work like that - it needs to be in the postage section of a listing, but I'm not getting the option to override the small, medium or large. You can't list a wardrobe as it's not somethung you can sell on there. The item is perfect for Christmas so now's the time to sell. So frustrating.

Can you write in the notes that you'll need to charge a little extra to cover the weight? And restrict the delivery options to one you can be flexible with? Increase the price of the item to cover it.

Custom shipping?

bumbledeedum · 20/11/2022 23:14

Since they've removed custom shipping you can't really do this. I guess as they market themselves as a second hands clothes site it's not really geared for heavy items. (Fully appreciate there's a much bigger variety of things being sold and it's daft removing custom shipping)

Thanks all - I figured out the only way I could do it was to change the category. Nuts. I was trying to make it more attractive by including something I had originally decided not to due to the weight. I might just list on eBay instead.
