Instant pot size

Hi all
Quick question about instant pot airfryer sizes. 5.7l or 8l? Family of currently 3 but like to batch cook and scale up lots.

Can a slow cooker ever be too big for a small quantity?

TIA

3 of us here. I got the 8l to replace the smaller one cos it was too small. Couldn't do good dumplings !!

I have an 8L IP and a 5.5L airfryer, family of 5 but like you I like to make extra. Always go for the biggest you can fit in your kitchen!

Oh thanks. Say I couldn't be bothered dealing with a batch cook ans just wanted to chuck on a small quantity, I wouldn't need an excess of liquid would I? I think I remember people disliking some of the large slow cookers because you needed too much water...?

I have no clue about slow cookers. Will be a learning curve for sure.

I make quick soups for 3 of us and use minimal water. A leek and potato soup takes 4 mins

4 minutes.. Wow! That's def what looking for too. Went for the instant pot duo pro with the single lid. Decent deal on amazon and only 30 dearer than the duo crisp with handles on the inner pot that you can also use on the hob.

Am sure I will be back to ask for tips!
