Does anyone else enjoy radio dramas?

I don't have the patience for audiobooks but I love radio plays, especially ghost or crime stories. I've been enjoying several Agatha Christie dramas on Youtube.

Does anyone else enjoy them and if so can you recommend any?

TIA

I love listening on Radio 4 extra, there are some fab ones. Don't know the titles though

Me! I use BBC Sounds for them, you can filter the drama by genre. They almost always have a Christie, Allingham or Marsh on there. I'm listening to a contemporary play at the moment called Limelight which is really good.

Yes radio 4 extra has a ghost story on soon

Yes, radio 4 as above- they had some great ghost stories and you can filter by genre.

Yes!! love them, I listen to hours worth a day when I’m on a roll. Elements of my work are quite solitary and I love a drama on in the background to keep me company when I plod away at it

I love them. Radio 4 had The Rise and Fall of Reggie Perrin the last few Sunday afternoons and it was lovely.

I love reading but when my DH died I completely lost the ability to concentrate on a book. Understandably sleep didn't come easily Radio 4 extra came to the rescue. Those classic favourite plays Poirot, Lord Peter Whimsey, Miss Marple etc all made the wee small hours less lonely.

GF Newmains The Corrupted was excellent (radio 4)

I agree with the BBC Sounds recommendations. You will find the most amazing dramas on there. Check out the 45 min dramas and also the daily 15 min dramas - they are brilliant too. Even if you're not sure that something is your bag I would say give it a go. I have listened to so many things that I didn't think I'd enjoy until I started to listen.

I completely agree! What a series. I was gutted when it finished!

Download the BBC sounds app or listen on a smart TV. It's brilliant, there are loads of dramas to listen to.

I just listened to all five series's of 'Tracks' on BBC Sounds, it's a conspiracy thriller, and so good and gripping. Strong female lead.
Series 2 was a bit meh but the others were excellent.
