Anyone had a knee replacement?

If you've had a knee replaced how long did it take you to be able to walk without being in pain/needing crutches? I know someone that's due to have one and she seems to be expecting to be almost back to normal in 3/4 weeks

Yes pretty much the same, think you are supposed to use crutches for a couple of weeks then reduce to one but yes after both of mine i was up and about after about 4 to 6 weeks.

I was comfortable after about four weeks, key is to do all the physio regularly and keep moving but follow the guidelines about movements you should not be making like crossing legs, trying to kneel or any sharp movements.
