Weirdly specific question about lighbulbs

I appreciate this is a first world problem!

We have a ceiling light in our dining room that has a sort of dimpled glass shade. We've had a standard halogen lightbulb in there for ages and it was really pretty as the shade cast a pretty shadow and often rainbows of light across the room.

DH has changed the bulb for an LED bulb which I understand from a practical point of view but now all the pretty shadows and rainbows have gone! Is there a particular type of LED bulb I can use to get them back? I'm guessing it's because the current bulb is too bright? Or opaque? But clearly have no idea so advice would be appreciated!

Probably because it’s opaque.
