I need to go to Glasgow a couple of weeks before Christmas with dds 13 and 10 for a couple of nights. Any suggestions of must-do/see, good places to stay and atmospheric Christmas places to go please? I’ve never been before

The ice rink at George square is going to be back this year. Christmas market there too.

There's Elfingrove at the kelvingrove grove museum in the west end but you'll need to book.

Maybe not this time if only there for a couple of nights but I like to take the train to Balloch and have a walk beside Loch Lomond. There's a shopping centre there ( I kind of wish there wasn't) where you can get something to eat or drink or do some Christmas shopping. The train isn't that expensive and only takes 20 mins or so from the West End.
