Cooking fried chicken for dinner - breast only. Tesco delivery in the middle of cooking which may have distracted me. Anyway husband cut up my youngest chicken and it was slightly pink!! I felt awful especially when I realised my older child had eaten a full piece at this point! I’m wrecking my brain about how I served them this, it was fried in rapeseed oil and sat a while them was warmed in the oven. It was only very slightly pink but the guilt I’m feeling is terrible 😣

I fed DS a packet of raw chicken goujons once.

They were next to the pork pies and stuff and I assumed they were pre-cooked.

He was fine. It happens.

All chickens in the UK are vaccinated against salmonella.

Ok that’s slightly worse!! 😁
can I add a more selfish element to this? My husband and I are going to a nice hotel tomorrow night for our anniversary and I just said to him prepare to cancel cause we could have a sick child 😑

I've made the same mistake as @TheLightSideOfTheMoon with chicken goujons and nothing bad happened
