Police ill equipped

I have a Swiss Army knife which I carry in my dog walks as I like to take cuttings! Unbelievable that the police or their vehicle are not equipped with a basic tool that could have helped this man.

Most of us carry multi tools - but they are not force issue

To be honest, most of our equipment is not force issue and we buy it ourselves - torches, charging cables, electricity detecting tools, key chains, etc etc

To be fair it would have been more surprising if they'd been appropriately prepared to deal with the situation. I really feel for that man's family.

That's the thing - how do you prepare when you're not given the kit to start with
