How long does a haircut take?

I have a hair appointment tomorrow. I have only been to the hairdressers maybe 5/6 times in my entire life and previously had straightening treatments that took hours in different salons.

Tomorrow I’m just going for a straight cut. My hair is very long and I’d like it cut to shoulder length and then straightened.

How long do you think this might take?

Thanks!

Half an hour? Maybe 45 minutes because they'll probably need to do a wet cut

An hour. Standard haircuts in a mainstream salon will be booked for that.

My hair takes 5 minutes to cut and they always string it out to an hour Hmm

Thank you! I seem to have double booked myself with a lunch so wondering if I’ll still be able to make it 😅

Are you having a wash and blow dry? The actual cutting is often only about 20 mins but you should allow a full hour for a wash, cut and blow dry IME.

I have no idea 🙈

I booked online and just booked the one that said “restyle/long hair” as my hair is long 😅

I went today. An inch off and tidy up, little bit of styling. Took an hour incl wash and blowdry

I hve a wash, cut and finish (dry with straightening or curling) and it takes 35-40 mins

30 minutes to an hour. my hairdresser usually takes an hour as she doesn’t rush and does other clients in between me. That’s for a wash cut and bow dry. The actual cut etc doesn’t actually take that long.

I go with freshly washed wet hair (after exercise) and make it very clear I’m not wanting to hang round. Cut and styled nicely (shoulder length trim) in and out in 23 minutes. Result.
