Booking accessible seats - help!

I'm very possibly overthinking this but wanted your input/advice.

Want to book for myself, my two kids, SIL and niece to go to a show. I am ambulant disabled. Don't need a wheelchair spot but can't do steps. Could handle one or two if there was a handrail but a check on acessable.co.uk shows steps with no handrail so I don't want to risk it.

I tried to call the box office at the venue (to see if there were other step free seat options) but there is no phone number and they just direct me to Ticketmaster.

There are ambulant disabled seats available but I feel like it's wrong to buy 5 of those limited seats (there are 13 available on one side and 12 on the other for a show in February) when only one of us needs it. There are no available seats in either the row behind or in front either because I thought we could do that and split up. Don't really want to sit totally separately.

What would you do?

Have you phoned ticketmaster? They have been helpful with me booking accessible seats before

I can't find a phone number for them on their website! (It's Ticketmaster Ireland if that makes a difference)

Which theatre is it, does it have ramps instead and you could sit on an end seat.

Google says ticket master customer services nbr is 0333 321 9999. See if they can help.

Whycanineverever · 18/11/2022 12:56

Go to theatre direct. I would expect you would get one free / reduced cater ticket.

No phone number and an email enquiry directed me to Ticketmaster

Using the website faqs there is a 'click here' for accessibility info then a contact form. If you go via that they might answer your email. Pretty rubbish of them if not. I agree not have a phone number to venue is typical these days and highly annoying!

I've been to a concert in The SSE Arena. We had floor standing tickets and there were no stairs to go from the main concourse into the concert area.

Im not sure about any side arena seating.

MadeForThis · 18/11/2022 14:02

Toilets and bar also have no steps on ground level.

I did that and got a standard which made it sound like I wouldn't be getting any more help:

What event are you going to? There might be a seating chart relating to that specific event.

OneFrenchEgg · 18/11/2022 17:36

I'd use the ticket Master accessible link and then book the seats I needed

I found this?

mrsfeatherbottom · 18/11/2022 18:05

Thanks everyone. I feel bad for giving off now because I got a nice reply for SSE telling what rows had handrails and which didn't. It'll mean being quite high up but that's okay. They also said that I can borrow a wheelchair at the entrance to go up to my seat.
