Pram for 2 - extend existing or buy new double

Hello

We have just had our second baby and also have an 18 month toddler who is walking well but not enough to be able to walk long distances.

I have been using the sling plus pram for the toddler but she’s now getting a bit heavy and I’d like to be able to put her down for a bit and also be able to pick up the toddler etc.

We have a pram and would need to buy an additional part for it (Uppababy Vista + rumbleseat) which is a stinking £250-300 new. I am looking for this part on eBay / FB marketplace and even second hand they go for £150 or so.

Just wondering for any advice from anyone who has had two - would you swallow the cost and get the extra seat for the pram we have or get a cheaper double pram?

I have seen some things like the joie aire twin stroller / chico echo twin on second hand FB marketplace for £50-70 but wonder if the baby will feel very loose and not very supported in there.

As an aside, I can’t believe how expensive prams are and how poor the resale value is for most of them!

I managed to get a double bugaboo for £300 of ebay. Might be worth a shot. If you do lots of walking I'd just pay for the part
