Since lockdown I've been 3 times. I loved taking the DC's to the cinema. There's never anything on now

Matilda is out in a couple of weeks.
Go see that.

There’s a film festival on here atm. I’ve seen three films in three days, all excellent if you like gloomy subtitled arthouse film, which I do!

How old are your dc? If they're young, Lyle Lyle crocodile was great. If they're older, the new black panther film.

There always seems to be good kids film on T least every half term where I live.
I love the cinema and go at least once a week.

me too, the sadder and more depressing the better! I go on my own otherwise my friends leave the cinema felling really depressed.

There is hardly anything on for younger kids imo - over Halloween not much. Stuff that would be out is going onto Disney plus etc

crossstitchingnana · 17/11/2022 17:13

My cinema shows either kids films, horror or a franchise.

I've been wanting to renew my cineworld membership but haven't because its not worth it. Hardly anything new coming out. I used to go weekly!

We have a small independent near us. I saw Moonage Daydream a few weeks ago. It was fabulous.

I loved it too, thought it was fabulous. Not sure whether it would be most school age children’s cup of tea though. But you never know the OPs DC might love a bit of Bowie.

The new Black Panther movie is on now. It's very good.

balalake · 17/11/2022 17:44

Check out other cinemas than your local one, especially independent cinemas.

Needmorelego · 17/11/2022 17:50

@Asher33 ooh next week. Brilliant.

Yeah the problem is everything is going straight to streaming. Ds is 10 and DD is 7
