If you’re a cleaner/postwoman/similar, do you get a Christmas tip from clients?

I’m not talking about people getting a bonus from their employer, but more so those who provide a service to customers that’s based around the client’s home.

I’m lumping postal workers in with this too despite it being a bit of a different scenario, but I think there’s a tradition in some areas of doing this.

We have an amazing postman who goes above and beyond so I’m happy to give him a few quid at Christmas, or a bottle of something nice.

Cleaner also gets a Christmas bonus and a present.

My mother used to always tip the binmen but ours come at 5am so I’ve never met them.

I get a lot of deliveries but our local courier is just not a very nice person and provides poor service so I avoid him. No present for him.

I’m a cleaner and I got a tip from one client last year.
