Handhold (TW bleeding in early pregnancy)

I'm around 6 weeks 5 days pregnant after trying for almost a year, had some back/shoulder pain last night but not felt it today. Just went to the toilet before bed and I have lots of discharge and bleeding and my stomach is so sore 😭 I'm so scared, on hold to NHS24 for advice and I can't hold back the tears. Is anyone awake? DH starts work at 4am so he's sleeping and I don't know if I should wake him up. I'm so worried 😭

I wasn't awake, but hopefully others will see this now and give you some support. I hope that you are getting some help now, what an awful worry.

I hope this resolves and you have a healthy pregnancy, some bleeding is perfectly nornal.

However, as you mention shoulder pain, I really recommend ringing your local EPU or going to A&E because this is sometimes a sign of an ectopic pregnancy. I don't want to scare you, but you should get this checked out and hopefully it's nothing.

Do mention the shoulder pain to anyone you speak to about this.

hello, I was sent to A&E and was there till about 6am before being sent home with a referral to the EPU, they've just called and I have a scan this morning so hoping it'll be okay but still quite crampy and bleeding ☹️

@ZoeQ90 thank you, I said to them and think that's why they want me in asap as the pain was really bad the other night, i had to take painkillers to try and sleep with it - never felt a pain like it
