My overseas residence permit (RP) expires in early March and I've just been told that I need to apply by early December. But also, I should have at least 6 months on my passport when my new RP is issued - which I won't.
So I'm looking at trying to renew my passport by early December! If it's viable, I'd come to the UK ASAP and just stay until I got the passport.
The fast-track service says you can get the passport at the interview. Seems too good to be true? I wonder if the catch is how long you have to wait for an interview? Anyone with recent experience of that?
Also there seem to be two processes, online and paper - can anyone advise if one is better (faster, more reliable) than the other?
