I woke up this morning and went for a wee, when I came back to bed (it was about 6 so at least another couple of hours before I needed to get up) I started breathing deeply, and my brain was telling me I was going to die, I wasn't getting enough air into my body. It was horrible. I went and splashed cold water on my face and then read a book for a bit to distract me, but if I'm honest I'm still feeling a little bit like I'm focusing on my breathing a little too much, and if I'm not distracting myself it feels the same.
Very very weird - and pretty scary. Have never had anything like this before, I'm not unwell in the slightest.
Was this a panic attack? Any tips to both stop it from happening again (if it is) and also how to bring myself down if it does?
