God I could be single!

DD and DS are in their bedrooms. DH is asleep in the living room and snoring. Even the rabbits are asleep. A house full and I am by myself in front of the TV!!

Some people would call that bliss (apart from the snoring). Enjoy the alone time, make a cuppa, grab some biscuits, put some guilty pleasure tv on. There'll be chaos and noise again all too soon

Sounds like my evenings (minus the DH), being single is very different to having a bit of time to yourself.

What you are describing us nothing like being single, regardless of whether you mean it as a positive or a negative.

I don't have to share a bed - or even a house
I don't have children determining at what time I have to wake up
I have no-one expecting anything from me at any time.

I'm single and I love it - don't ever think your brief moments of freedom in anyway equate to the freedom of being single

I'm single

Great innit! Watching what you like on tv. Having meals when you like or not having them. My particular favourite - not watching football..Yeah!!! Going out or not going out. No in laws!!! No school uniforms to find. NO " have you seen my..." or worse "What have you done with ....". Please , I lose enough stuff myself without looking after anyone else and their things. I would manage to lose kids and a partner!!!!

And I do not want to be single. I enjoy noise and family bustle.
