Undercooked meat?

Having a panic
My boyfriend cooked Richmond skinless sausages for breakfast and said he had them under the grill 15-20 mins and still were pale
He still ate them-saying they were still cooked
He said they were hot and slightly brown

Will he be okay?

if he had them for breakfast you would know by now if not!

I would have thought it was obvious whether a sausage was cooked when he ate it.

dementedpixie · 15/11/2022 18:46

If they were hot inside they were cooked
Why are you panicking when he isn't?

Skinnermarink · 15/11/2022 18:47

They are pale looking anyway aren’t they 🤣

chill

Well he said it tasted fine
He then went on to say when he was young he ate raw sausages as snacks Blush

Someone I used to work with occasionally ate raw sausages from the fridge 🤢, he never seemed to get ill from them.

We go on holiday tomorrow so don't want him to be ill

My grandad used to chew bits of raw bacon.

Well, he's unlikely to be seeing as he grilled them for 15 mins and they're about as thick as a felt tip pen, and were hot? Not really sure what the problem is if I'm honest.

Sorry I must sound like a crazy person
My anxiety is playing tricks with me at the minute

We cooked some cheap sausages in the youth club weekend along with fries in a catering oven for 26 people.

They were in there for 2 hours and they never went brown! The were like lava on the inside!

I just thing the cheap ones don't go brown, in fact I knew someone called them ok l sausage.

Eating raw sausages out of choice is vile Envy

I think he would have started to feel ill by now

RosesAndHellebores · 15/11/2022 20:34

They were cooked and will do him no harm. I bought Richmond sausages - once. We were fine - the sausages were awful.

PollyCreo · 15/11/2022 20:38

Sorry but the 'hot and slightly brown' made me laugh. Reminds me of the Big Bang Theory and Raj 😂

biggerbetterfasterstronger · 15/11/2022 20:39

Irrelevant what happened today; the gas sausages comment means you need to LTB

biggerbetterfasterstronger · 15/11/2022 20:40

Gas = raw

clearly even my auto correct didn’t think raw sausages was a real thing

HelloMrBond · 15/11/2022 22:04

I wouldn’t worry, there’s very little meat in Richmond sausages. It’s mainly rusk with a few eye lids and connective tissue thrown in. How anyone eats them is beyond me.

XenoBitch · 15/11/2022 22:05

Raw meat does not make you ill. Meat with dodgy bacteria makes you ill. It can be raw and fine.
